I got confirmation from Rogers that the Bold will be on sale August 19th.
I will have to put my 8830WE to rest and switch network (from Bell to Rogers). My 8830WE gave me 12:19:28:24 of satisfaction after a year. But I can't resist getting the new Bold!!!
I was joking..we have been hearing dates for months and months. The dates are never correct. It just gets people worked up over nothing.
I know... I know... Hopefully it'll be SOON. I'm really anxious to get my hands on one. I just hope it'll work in Central America (moving there soooooon).
lol. The Americans here are just cranky because we Canadians finally have a date on Rogers, where as AT& T is still screwing them.

btw: if anyone needs a wireless router, Staples.ca has the D-link DIR-625 N on for $69 CDN. Its $100 @ Best Buy & Future Shop. The Bold is only G, not N. I live in a non-3g area so WiFi would be in order as EDGE would be painfully slow.
There hasnt been an actual date set for the release. its just speculation, but i work at rogers plus and we havent been notified of the date yet. but i do believe that this is true because of upcoming meetings and trainings.
I am hearing 399.99 on a 3 year plan from my contact at Rogers. Regarding the release date though, the one my contact has informed me of in July was August 19, but she had me waiting for the earlier dates as well calling me each time to inform me of the delay. I aggree with the rest in saying, at this point, when it comes it comes. But, come September 1, if no BOLD, I will go and buy whatever the latest BB device on the market is.

Just spoke with the lead manager in my city for Rogers, and said that the Bold is pushed back to sometime in September. Apparently with all the radios (15), the heat is melting the battery!
He said they were. My take on it was that only a few were having the problems, but that was enough for Rogers to push RIM for a fix.
Bogus. My friend works at RIM and has been using several different bolds for the last 3 months or more and none of them had these problems. The one he's been using for a few weeks has been very stable without any issues.
The date is still scheduled for Aug 19th according to both a Rogers blackberry technical dept manager as well as a Rogers director.
Well I was on the phone with Rogers today and I was told that this date is only for corporate customers. It will then follow to the general public in 7 days I think she was talking bollocks to be honest. But the pricing I do agree with as I was in Best Buy and they have a sku no with a price $199 on a 3 year plan and $599 cash price (no contract)
A Rogers rep in the store at York Mills looked at the terminal and there was no SKU only no`s for cases and other junkola......
Hope all you guy's are right. I have been waiting for 2 months for this thing, and patience are running very thin.
Last thing the manager did say, is that the Rogers marketing conference call is/was either later today or tomorrow where a new launch date will discussed.
i can almost guarantee that it isn't gonna be august 19th cuz i'm sure it would be announced at least a week before, plus there would be signs of it in the rogers system, like on sales central or on the purchase order form.
