What would you expect when you can get the Z10 now and the Q10 soon?

LOL...amen to THAT! With phone tech advancing so fast....Its imperative that BB moves with it..IE, the Z and the Q. Messing around with my 9930 after a much faster phone is interesting...still LOVE that KB though!! CANT WAIT for the Q!! BB Nation!!

I only mention this cause I am debating on selling my 9930. But it looks like it would pretty much just sit.

Idk about you, but i have latino co workers, and they love my 9930. I have a lady there that currently owns a galaxy s2 phone, but wants my phone because its good to use in other countries like "Guatamala" etc. So when i get my Q10, i told her id sell it to her for $125. Better than nothing. haha

I just bought a used 9900 last weekend. The guy who I eventually bought it from had a few offers (low ballers though). So there is a demand for it especially from scavengers like me. Remember, your phone used to be RIM's best phone just several months ago, and it still is to me (until the Q10 comes out that is).

You might try selling it here on CrackBerry, or doing a sell and swap here on CrackBerry. I bought my 9930 from here in the CrackBerry Marketplace. The owner was looking to go to a torch 9850 - which I owned. We worked out that I got his 9930 in exchange for $75 and my Torch 9850 - he also threw in about 50-75 dollars worth of cases/accessories as well. Was a good deal.

I have sold and purchased here before so I would not be opposed to doing it again...my concern would be Lowballers or the phone not selling for lack of interest.

Your product is only as good as the market says, aka the customer is always right.

When people talk about like sport players getting paid a lot I always think, man, I wonder how much this other team would pay to have that guy on their team...and that is why these guys get overpaid.

Or with relationships, you're only as cute as other people think you are ya kno....you could be hot stuff and have a 6 pack and a nice car and phone but if a bunch of girls don't like you, your value is low to girls, but if you are always around a bunch of girls or going places they want to be...your value goes up!

True enough. The market for the 9930 is pretty bad I think, which is the conclusion I came to.

Great conversation here. I'm actually thinking about upgrading to the Q10 after it's released. I have a 9930 I'll have to sell as well, but also unsure as to the market value at that time. I also have the 2 year contract that's only a year old so I'll have to buy the Q10 outright at $590 something. Could wait, but then I'd be going without.

Well, i've bought mine (9900) 2 weeks ago, brand new, not at a low price, but it's a reliable phone, and that matters the most, at least for me.

Sold my 9900 about 1 month ago for $250 which for a phone that I had used for about 1.5 years is pretty good. Sold my Galaxy S2 around the same time for and only got $200 for it. In both cases, that the only way to get more was if they were new.

Tempted to buy another one as I miss it but know I should at least try the Q10 before buying another 9900. Hope it doesn't disappoint me like the Z10 did.

Can't speak about the current demand, but I can say that the 9930 is an awesome phone for my needs.

It all comes down to if you rather have a 9930 sitting around or have a few bucks sitting around. The price of 9930's is not going to go up so doing it now makes sense. I sold one that was in mint condition a couple of months ago for $250 and bought a never been activated, "new in box" 9930 3 weeks ago for $225 so that kind of tells you where the price is going.

The phone is over 2 years old now. Plus, Q10 is just around the corner...

I'll be buying another 9900 end of the year when i go to the Philippines for 3 weeks.

Does 9930 work with ATT and T-Mobile?
I thought 9930 was VZ only and was 3G only, but I see from specs it does with on GSM as well, is this true?

I thought 9930 would not work in other networks and if others think the same way, it might be why 9900 sells better than 9930.

My 9930 is with Sprint. It does have a sim card slot so I would imagine it could run on another network since the only difference between the 9900 and the 9930 is the use of the sim card. Sprint does not require a sim card.

With other CDMA phones that have SIM card slots, SIM is used only for 4G/3G, and once the phone is activated on CDMA, it cannot revert back to GSM.
I think this may be the case with 9930.
