I have a bold 9900 that turned off while i listening music with my ear phones. this the 2nd time it happened. is it something to worry about? after the song is finished, there is nothing. after looking on my phone wondering whats taking the other song so long to start, i realized the phone turned off, i had to remove the battery n replace to turn it on back again. please help. it comes from at&t, running lastest os "7.1.0.1098"

Hi there have you got music on your ad card? If after backing up and reformatting it still does it then you might want to replace it

ummmmm no the songs isnt on a memory card. its on the device itself. i have no memory card installed.

When the screen went black did you try unlocking it first and pressing a few buttons to see if the screen came back on lol?

i did lol. no response whatsoever. pressing all buttons does nothing. so i had to remove battery. could it be a h/w issue or battery issue or something? cuz the battery runs down quite fast n the sticker on it is red so it probably got some liquid on it.

I think you should try a replacement battery, get a brand new official RIIM/BlackBerry battery for the 9900.

I was experiencing all sorts of media playback issues with my 9900 (jumping, stuttering) and the final straw was when the entire phone crashed while playing some music. I replaced the SD card and it seems to have improved greatly so far.
