Highly doubt anyone of importance at AT&T even read or was told about it.. :(
November 20th, just think, around Xmas you will have it all set up!

Trackball rocks. Until you experience the suck that is the BB trackpad, you will never know how good you had it.
This thread is funny as there is still not AT&T 9900.
I am sure someone is STILL using a track WHEEL!
Anyone remember what a track wheel is?
When can we expect ATT to roll out the highly desired Blackberry Bold 9900? ....
Unfortunately sounds like late november is the best bet.. supa lame!
I went to the AT&T store locally, as well as the AT&T vendor Kiosk just down the mall. Didn't like the 9810 slider form factor at all. Both stores claimed no knowlege of the 9900 release date.
I'm gonna wait it out, I guess. Hopefully the old Curve keeps chugging.
I kinda thought I might like the 9810, I like the idea of the keyboard and a big touch screen.. however the classic bold form was too inticing to me.. interesting to hear the feedback about it though.. Good luck with the curve!
What's wrong with CDMA? And FYI, Verizon almost universally has better coverage than AT&T.

For me, the only thing holding me back from moving to Verizon for the 9930 is the lack of simultaneous voice and data. While I don't use this feature often with AT&T, I do use it, especially when I get a phone call while using my iPhone as a hotspot. What's wrong with CDMA?
On that note, I sure hope the hotspot feature comes to the 99xx soon. That has saved me more than once with the iPhone.
Perhaps. But it still boils down to the location. I drop my AT&T connection once on my daily commute, but it works great at home. My buddy on Verizon doesn't drop his connection on his daily commute, but his phone doesn't work at home. In other words, six of one and half a dozen of another. And FYI, Verizon almost universally has better coverage than AT&T.
Last time I had a call drop off AT&T was 2 years ago when we were driving up to Atlantic City from Northern VA. It's ok, I love my 9000 and I can live with it for awhile longer. Its been the best phone I ever had. I like to stream Pandora and kicking "unlimited" to the curb would be dumb just for premature,,...

I use a 9000 as well and have multiple drop calls each and every day. The sad part is they recently started about 4 weeks ago. Several calls to A Suck & Suck have yielded zero results. The really sad part? I use a MicroCell at home in order to get 3G service - if I didn't, I'd either get edge or SOS. Pretty sad to have dropped and "call failed" when at home. If Verizon would offer an unlimited data plan, I'd defect but who's to say A Suck & Suck will keep theirs?
I for one really enjoy rollover minutes and sim cards.. and my companys discount with att. otherwise id probably switch
I've always had better service with AT&T over Verizon. Verizon may or may not be better in my area now (I switched several years ago), but my service is good with AT&T and my experiences with Verizon's CS alone made swear I'd never go back. AT&T's CS isn't great, but has been exponentially better.
YES! I for one, cannot fathom not having a sim card, it'd just be...weird?
Eh i kinda forgot all about ATT not releasing the Bold to Nov..We can march to every single ATT corp store with huge signs.. i still don't think att will release it to whenever they want to.
Give sprint a shot, they have all the good features and unlimited data plans. If it doesn't work, return it and go Verizon. 2GB doesn't sound like a lot but I don't think I have ever surpassed it, ****, my highest usage yet came from spending so much time looking for the att release date.

It completely blows my mind why so many people place so much emphasis on the importance of a SIM card.
From what I have see there are two distinct advantages of a SIM card, both of which have workarounds.
1. Easy device switch -- on a Verizon phone power it on, type *228 and select option 3. Then when promoted enter the 10 digit phone number you want linked to the phone followed by the last 4 digits of the SSN of the account holder, less than a minute of OTA programming and you are ready to go.
2. The ability to back up your contacts to your SIM (as long as you don't have too many) -- on a Verizon phone we have something called Backup Assistant which will back up your contacts to Verizon's servers (this service is now completely FREE) or if you have an Android phone you can sync them to Google.
And there are two distinct disadvantages to SIM cards:
1. SIM cards DO wear out sometimes without warning, necessitating a visit to the carrier store OR calling customer service and having to wait for them to send you one. The *228 option 1 will reprogram your CDMA phone if it somehow becomes deprogrammed.
2. If you loose your phone entirely or the phone is severely damaged you loose the SIM card AND your backed up contacts. Backup Assistant keeps them safe.
The vast majority of BB users use well under 1GB a month because the data is compressed.
really? I'm driving 8-10 hours each day around five boroughs of Big Apple and never had drop calls, last time maybe a year or so ago. It all depends on locations, every carrier have that drop call spots.
in my basement office with Verizon i never had any reception, with at&t i have strong 3G -2-3 bars which is fine to make or receive calls and for use of data.
As far as sim cards wearing down. I've had mine for about a decade and it actually says cingular on it, so maybe I'm lucky..
And so obviously I've had att coverage for awhile and I can't say it great. I get dropped calls at least a few times a month and I've lived in 3 parts of the country in the last decade (west coast, new england and midwest)

Ahem - lets not turn this into an at&t vs Verizon or even a GSM vs CDMA
