My local store didn't have a line. Then again, they didn't have any of the new phones. No new blackberries, not new windows 7 phones. The rep there didn't even know they were being released today. He said that both the Bold 9900 and the windows phones were delayed until December.
See?! This is exactly what I was talking about in another post. How can these people work at AT&T and still be that misinformed. Or be so carefree about what they do that even after a phone is launched they still have no clue of it's existence? I know customer service reps. and store reps. are the last to know about new devices and launch dates but I think it's safe to assume that once the device is actually available you should know about it. That way you can actually... you know.... provide customer service.
When I'm CEO of a major carrier or phone manufacturer (kill me for dreaming big) I'm going to make sure that my employees actually love what they do and aren't just there for a paycheck.
I got there a half an hour after the store opened and there were a few people in there. Someone was upgrading a family members phone to an iPhone 4 because they haven't had any 4s since the 14th of Oct. Someone in front of me was buying a skyrocket phone. Another lady had a white 9000 and was returning a 4s to get a 9900 i believe. The sales rep was asking her a few times "Are you sure??" She made the right choice and got the 9900 .
So no one decided to get the mail yesterday and luckily I decided to get my order from crackberry to see it was already delivered lol. Have my Bold in a soft shell case(indigo). Still feels good in the hand.
I have been using my Bold 9900 for a few hours and find the Send, Menu, Escape and End/Power keys to be too soft in comparison with the trackpad and keyboard keys --particularly the Menu key which is beginning to become squeaky. My unit was made in MEXICO 4. What has been your experience?

My send key is stiffer then the rest. my menu key is soft and mushy. My back and send/end keys are clicky. It doesn't bother me though. -Mexico 4
Just a word of caution, I ordered mine on the premiere site and was charged $299 for the phone. After an hour on hold with AT&T premiere support they told me I had to update my voice plan. I still had the 550 minute plan, which I guess is no longer offered. As I type this I am still on hold waiting to get the $100 refund after changing to a supported plan.

Sounds like a premiere experience.

Was late on my bills a few times this year, they pushed my renew dates.
I called CS last month to purchase a phone
one month early of my renew date. It took 45 minutes and they sent me a 9810 (for the wife) for 26 bucks delivered overnight.
I called this morning to get my 9900 4 months early of contract renewal date, they had to take me thru 2 managers and finally upgraded me. I will have my 9900 2morrow, they charged me the 199+ activation plus overnight totalling 220ish delivered.
Why do people keep demanding that this thread be closed? Is it really so hard for these people to just pass it up if they don't want to participate in it?
If this thread is closed then all the tools for whom it has become the centerpiece of their existence might actually have to interact with people, which could be a frightening proposition for the rest of society.
Posting every now and again is part of a reasonable discussion; posting multiple times a day, every day, for literally months makes one a tool....especially when we're talking about an f-ing smartphone, not a cure for disease. Which category are you in?
