Bold 9900 AT&T Release - Sooner than we think?
- I wish the new Verizon customers the best of luck. I also recommend you take very good care of your handsets and go through your bill each month because VZ will take every single possible opportunity to ram you in the fanny when your not paying attention. Once you have a problem with VZ they will try every dishonest trick in the book to deflect responsibility back onto the customer and if you should get over billed then be prepared for months of back and fourth with their customer dis-service center, where the people are trained to be the slithering, misleading, indifferent, sub-human slime the management wants them to be.
Please, no stories about how verizon has been great "for me" for the last 10 years as we know a single person doesn't represent all the VZ customers. This is just a warning for the new VZ customers as to what they MAY be in for.

- You're right... my stories of being happy with Verizon don't reflect what everyone might experience, just as your stories don't reflect what others might experience either. So I'll make a deal with you: I won't post another "Verizon is great for me" story if you promise to stop posting "Verizon is the devil" stories. Sound fair?YourMobileGuru likes this.10-19-11 05:55 AMLike 1

Can you please clarify something? I've read that the timeline is between 2 - 4 weeks after a TA. Is this still the case if there was a HW revision?mnhockeycoach99 likes this.10-19-11 08:27 AMLike 1 -

I haven't needed to call Verizon yet as the store took care of everything and even credited me the $35 activation BS fee without push back.YourMobileGuru likes this.10-19-11 09:47 AMLike 1 - You sounded very disturbed by Verizon. I happen to have at&t, Sprint, and Verizon. and had T-mobile. They all stink and shine on different aspects. They all want our money, and will do whatever it takes to get it. You have to live with reception every minute and the phones they offer, customer service not so much. If you speak to them nicely, you usually get what you want. Verizon's been great so far for customer service. They call me proactively to make sure I am happy and know how to use my 9930 and features.

One thing I can say with relative certainty in my area is that Verizon tends to have the highest caliber of staff in their corporate owned stores. That doesn't mean they all know the answer to every question, but they tend to be more professional.YourMobileGuru likes this.10-19-11 09:55 AMLike 1 - Not sure if this info has made it out into the wild yet, but I just got a legitimate notification that it will be out for AT&T NOVEMBER 6TH. Believe me if you want, or don't, take it with a grain of salt if you wish.. but you can check my previous posts and you will see that I am definitely not a rumor-starter.. Just got some info through some people I work with and felt it would be unfair to keep it to myself. I'm prayin just as you are that these people are correct, but I have never been mislead in the past by "them"joju58 and DeeNiceJones like this.10-19-11 11:41 AMLike 2

I hope you are right. Although I'm curious how the people you work with are "in the know"..but I'm sure you aren't at liberty to divulge.10-19-11 01:31 PMLike 0 - Not sure if this info has made it out into the wild yet, but I just got a legitimate notification that it will be out for AT&T NOVEMBER 6TH. - I'd like it to be released November 6th... But what kind of phone is released on a Sunday? Seems a little odd to me.DeeNiceJones likes this.10-19-11 03:28 PMLike 1

- All I can say is that the people I know have a close working relationship with both RIM and at&t, and have a lot invested in their plans for availability on that date. I would be remiss not to acknowledge the possibility that this will be an at&t announcement and not an actual release, but from what I've been told, it is a release. Cross your fingers, knock on wood, throw some salt over your shoulder.. whatever you do for luck, do it now!!! And I will update this when more info comes in.. which it will.10-19-11 03:45 PMLike 0
