Great review... thanks!
Just a quick question; I use my phone purely for calling/texting.
Normally I'm not that busy during the day and just have a few people calling or texting me (not intensively though).
How long do you think the battery could last in my case?
- Right now, my 9780 can keep up to ALMOST 4 full days...
So going back to just 1 day would be a major setback for me.
Thanks for the review. I am rather disappointed to hear that the battery life is about on par with other smartphones. Though from what all you've said that is the only thing that would concern me. Guess I'll be keeping a spare battery in my pocket.
2 days still is 50% less than the current 9780 with my usage... so that would be the least they could do.
Going back from 4 days to just 1 is crazy if you ask me!
(talking about own usage here, might be different for others)
They cut back on the size of the battery so the phone will be thinner I believe. Getting a day out of the one in the 9900 is decent but, like you said it would be nice to have that long battery life that blackberry phones are known for.
I have the new firmware installed and tomorrow, I'll switch 3G off and operate in Edge. That should give better battery life and possibly a better indication of battery life from your perspective.

Very professional review Abbas, perhaps the best "real world" review I've watched!
...Thanks for taking the time to review & share this device with us!
I hope they either release a more powerful battery...
Count on Seidio to release a high capacity battery that will fit in the existing battery slot, and a higher capacity battery that will require a replacement battery door. That's been their standard offerings for BlackBerry devices for a while now. So if RIM doesn't offer one, Seidio likely will.

If you could test that, I would greatly appreciate it!
