Ok so actually it's ANY phone for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint for $.01 this includes all BlackBerry, Android, and Windows Phone (with the exception of the iphone of course). Also, this is only with opening a new account.

You can upgrade in a sense, but it would require deactivating your existing plan and starting up a new one, something you can't do if your current account is mid-contract. Also, if you're grandfathered in with an unlimited data plan, you'll lose it when you start the new plan.

My guess would be since Verizon is selling the 9930 for $199 as of today they will probably have the phone for $99 on Friday for upgrades and new people. Although $0.01 would be much better

Yeah, I checked for AT&T to see what my upgrade price would be and it would be $199...still would love the penny sale
