I just purchased a new Blackberry Bold 9780 about 2 weeks back from T-mobile and everything appears to be working great except for video file playback. I installed a 32gb ScanDisk SD (class 2) card into the device and copied about 300 MP3s on with no issue but when I try and copy any video files on I just keep getting The media being played is of an unsupported format whenever I try and play the files. I am using AVS Video Converter 7.1 to convert my files into Blackberry Bold formatted video files which in the past for other devices has always worked flawlessly (Blackberry Curve, Motorola Cliq, Nokia N900, etc.). I have tried a number of different file settings to see if some slight adjustments would help but this has not produced any successful results. Some of the format/settings I have tried include
    File Types: MP4, 3GP and M4V
    Frame Sizes: 480/320, 480/360, 320/240 and 640/480
    Frame Rates: 30fps, 24fps and 20fps
Video Codec: H.264 AVC, MPEG4 and Intel ITU H.263

I then just tried the Blackberry desktop software to see it its conversion software would work but I still get the same error message. Finally, I bought a new ScanDisk SD 32gb card this time a class 4 to see if maybe the issue was physical i/o but unfortunately I get the same results. I am completely out of ideas now but I really want to put videos on the device along with the MP3s.any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You

You didn't have luck with H.264 AVC ? I managed to get 1080p videos downloaded from YouTube playing just fine using that codec...

    EDIT: Actually, I used H.263 3GP.

    H264 : Baseline profile, 480 x 360 pixels, up to 2 Mbps, 30 frames per second

Check the Mbps on your videos
