I had my bold 9780 for over a 2 year now, never had a problem and about 3 weeks ago it started to make high-pitch noises during calls and recived.
Does anyone have an idea what to do?

I change earpiece but nothing changes, all same problems.!?

I just got the same problem as yours. Was it because of earpiece changes? If anyone know the causes please bring up to share over here.

try to change the battery. I solved in this way

i would try your sim card in another BB and see if you still have the problem , could be a problem of your carrier+"place where you are"

Tell you the clue, this damn pitch noise mainly came from in between ic circuit board and the earpiece itself, original earpiece should covered soft tapped where it was placed and a new replacement of earpiece without those soft tapped will definitely make noise to the device.

I have a feeling that the phone behaves that way when i get it wet, or keep it in a humid place for sometime.

the squeaking sound is not heard when the speaker phone is turned on, only in the ear piece, in my case atleast, so i reckon that its not a sim card or battery issue?

anyway, a nice blow-dry fixes it for me.

yes,it was placed and a new replacement of earpiece without those soft tapped will definitely make noise to the device. thanks
