Hi all,

New to the forums so sorry if the part about OS is in the wrong place.

Basically ive had the phone for around 3months all was fine i was loving the phone then over the past couple of days its gone really slow, ive cleared my event log made sure all my pics and music are on my media card and cleared my cache. Any other things i should do?

Also im considering using a Hybrid or Custom ROM any suggestions on one i should try? i used a Hybrid ROM on my curve 8900 and loved it.

Welcome to CB. Maybe first try to simply reload it with the latest OS from your carrier, and see how it acts...

SHIFT+ALT+H and read out the OS version to us. The important bit is App Version. On my phone this is 6.0.0.666 (2921). So in this part of the forum you will see that described as version .666 OS.

I have never bothered with a hybrid. Just installed the official .666 and have been more than happy with it over the years. Stunning battery life and great signal. Certainly superior so some of the earlier releases. I am also a heavy UMA user and this OS version gives excellent results. (And I NEVER need a battery pull).

Yeah... I can be like a boring stuck record on recommending .666 in this forum. It has always worked so well for me which is why I talk it up. Check threads like this one for discussion in the last few weeks (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...-issue-740110/) Note in post #21 I give you a link to download .666 along with instructions on how to install. But if you are an old 8900 user than I guess I am teaching an old dog new tricks
