I have had a little accident with my 9700 and have managed to crack the glass screen covering the LCD.
As far as i can tell i have not damaged the actual LCD (no bleeding or blank spots) so i am hoping i do not need to get a new one of those.
I have ebay'd and googled all night looking for information on where i can get a screen for the 9700 however i cant seem to find any.
Does anyone know of somewhere i can purchase the screen as a separate.
    Any help would be great.
On a side note, i managed to crack the fascia surround while i was at it but i have found a replacement surround so that should not be a problem.

EDIT: Or am i being an ***** because the 9700 has one a combined LCD/Glass Screen so cannot get them separately?

It's not glass it's plastic and the plastic lens and the LCD are one piece.

You cannot find it because this "screen" you're looking for does not exist on the 9700. It is an LCD screen and not a protective plastic screen as with the Pearl 81xx and 83xx. It doesn't come cheap but you can order one from here and here.

for Blackberry 9700 Bold Lens Cover Glass Black + Tools - eBay (item 300429737145 end time Jun-19-10 20:03:57 PDT)

under $8 with shipping, I don't know how to install though there was a video with someone doing this to the 9000 I believe, not sure if they are similar build as far as LCD's go. I'm in the same predicament, its worth a try for the price if you have time.

the good thing about LCD screen and plastic lens being glued together is that not dust can come in... i remember my ol' 8310 having ton of dust under screen... i really hated it.. no more problems with newer devices like 9000 and 9700... 8520 is still having problems with dust under screen since LCD screen and plastic lens are separated.
