Sounds like a way to keep those that got the Droid Incredible on launch from being able to return it within the 30 day period, in exchange for the 9650.
This could backfire on RIM. Just like palm with the pre plus. Launched after the droid and we all know how that ends.

Unforunately this isn't RIM's call if it is around May 29th or so because isn't Sprint getting it on the 23rd? It's already annouced and VZW and Sprint have their inventory more than likely...Verizon is just doing what they wanna do...push Android platform devices to the consumer/general public PLUS if you're playing the "I'll buy the Incredible and HOPE that the 9650 comes out within 30 day and trade in" then Big Red is making it to where you're gonna be screwed and have to pay full retail if you play the odds. Smart from a business standpoint but pretty shady if you ask me.
I still think this is the most logical timeframe. Verizon is waiting so they dont get the influx of incredible returns for the bold. Saturday 5/29 sounds about right
