Will this new Bold 9650 be able to run the OS 6.0?
yes, which is why the memory of the new Bold got doubled to 512mb... its OS 6.0 ready we will not see 6.0 come out however till next quarter though says RIM.

It's cute how people just talk as though they know anything at all when they don't. You have no idea what phone will get it. My 8330 runs OS 5, and the Tour is light years ahead of that obsolete thing. It could go either way. No one has any clue.

It's cute when someone tries to act like a smart***.
When asked if OS 6.0 will only be for touch screen phones because it was shown on a touch screen today, or if other types would get it also. Mike Lazaridis says, and I quote:
"...this is designed to support both our touchscreen products and our trackpad products..."
and then talks about the versatility of the trackpad and makes a quick comment about touchscreens.
And I never said NO that the 9630 would not get, I said most likely not, didn't say NO, based off of what was said by Mike Lazaridis.

I think it's a safe assumption that only current trackpad and touchscreen devices will be able to run 6.0... Especially based on Mike's comments... They have to draw the line somewhere and the shift to trackpads is suddenly making a whole lot more sense.
