Is there a way to buy GPS maps and use the Bold without having to subscribe to Rogers $10/month plus data user charges?
Thanks for the help in advance.

TrekBuddy and Mobile GMaps are two apps that let you preload maps to a microSD card, for use when you don't have a cell signal. That would allow you to avoid data charges, assuming you download the maps using a PC. TrekBuddy has a forum for their users. I don't have the link, but you can google it.

Have you had a look at Free GPS navigation for mobile phones || amAzeGPS.com

I haven't tried it myself, but have read some good reports about it on here.
