Hey guys. Decided to black out my bold. Bought the black bezel and trackball..... But I now realise that the trackball light still shines through the blackball and gives it this ugly brown color. Is there any app to turn the trackball light off? Also will the light shine through a OEM Javelin trackball?

Have been debating red vs black trackball for a short while now and never even considered this. That sucks, but thanks for making my decision easier! At least something good has come of this, lol!

It just depends on how smooth the TB scrolls. I have seen may times that a little light will come through.

prolly should have done some reasearch on where you bought your trackball from.....sounds like you bought one that someone colored black....
the one i have from CNN is solid opaque black (G1) and nothing shines through.... havent seen anyone else with your problem either, so i would talk to your seller....
