    Hello blackberry world
I've noticed that my blackberry 9700 has been lagging when sending and receiving messages
I've had my 9700 since it came out
I have installed nearly every leaked OS that has been released and i have never had these problems before
    I'm running on OS 5.0.0.593
It freezes for a good 10-15 seconds when i receive a message (sms, mms, email, IM, and everything else) and it freezes for a good 5 seconds when i send a message
Just want to know if its the OS or if anyone else is experiencing the same problems, its just really annoying
    Thanx

Me too. I was on BBM group and my messages got delayed and pushed out all at once..something going on?
I also noticed, it drained my battery 50% in just 6 hours!
    I'm using BBM 5.0.0.65

I thought 5.0.0.57 was the latest Official version of BBM... at least that is what App World has available to download.

hmm im going to try downgrading my OS back to .586 and my BBM to .57
i upgraded both my OS to .593 and my BBM to .65 or .66 (cant remember) on the same day so i'll see if it fixes this problem
    hopefully it does

there was a leak around a month ago with .66
BlackBerry Messenger Version 5.0.0.66 Leaked [Application] | Apps & Games | BlackBerry Rocks!

i think that might be causing the problems on my bb

Sorry, but I'm BETA testing a much different version... you might think about backing up your BBM, deleting it, and install 5.0.0.57 off App World... .66 sounds like it was a BETA release since it's still not on App World, it might not be totally stable if they have not released it as official by now.

I run 593 without any issue on my 9700.

maybe too much apps are running in background.

Dumb question but: did you do a battery pull before posting?

haha yea i did, i had 593 for a month now. even when i dont have any apps running in the background it still lags. im currently downgrading back to 586, i had no problems with 586 and my battery seemed to last a little longer on it so i guess i'll be okay with it for now

Just reloading the same OS would correct the issue too
