    Been syncing perfectly fine between my Blackberry Bold 9900 and my Blackberry Desktop Manager, version 7.1.0.41 until today. Have not changed ANYTHING but now the DM won't recognize that the BB is connected. My computer makes the noise when I plug in the BB but the DM shows "disconnected." Any ideas? Tried rebooting phone already to no avail.

    Check your USB connection for dirt or bent pins. Try a different USB cable or USB port on the PC.

    look under computer device and see if you still have USB drivers installed.

    I'm having a similiar issue. I connected my BB to my laptop and DM asked to update. I allowed the updated and now the updated DM won't recognize my phone. I, of course, did all of this before backing up my phone and now I can't. Been awhile since I've backed up so I really need to do that. Any help would be appreciated.
