    Hi there!

I'm having a problem with my Bold, when I plug the device in via USB cable to my PC (I've tried both a laptop and a desktop PC, both running WinXP) the device doesn't get recognised correctly.

    Symptoms :-

    - Blackberry Smartphone is showing as installed in Device Manager. (Tried rolling back driver)
    - The device shows as charging so it looks like the USB connection is OK.
    - When trying to browse the phone via Windows Explorer, I get 2 Removable Disk options (These both appear when the device gets plugged in), but when clicking to open it simply states "Please insert disk..."

I've tried removing the Blackberry Desktop software as I never use this anyway, it always use to pop in Explorer with "Blackberry" and "Blackberry memory card" or similar...

    The device itself works fine...

I've tried both a soft and hard reset already also.

I'd be extremely grateful for any help!

    Many Thanks in advance

Go to Options>Memory and be sure you have Mass Storage and Media card support turned on.

Do as bt suggested. Also try formatting the memory card within the bold as well.
