The thunder is merely a rumored device at this stage. Where as the bold, actually has pre-production prototypes and is expected to be in stores this year.

If you choose iPhone, wait for the Thunder (that may never come out)
If you choose Curve/8800, get the BOLD.
All touchscreen or physical keyboard... Big difference, all preference.

Personally I hate the virtual keyboad on the iphone, and prefer a REAL qwerty keyboard.
