I have the white one and so far no issues whatsoever. Plus, there is no difference between the black and white Bold 9900.

I have never heard of a white 9900 brick. But also i have never heard of a vodafone UK black 9900 brick. Get one of them.

Don't think a different color housing changes anything.

I have a white blackberry 9900 on Vodafone uk and it bricked on Saturday! Just get the red led blinking 4 times. Not detectable in DM BBSAK or JL_cmdr. Now waiting for repair :-( I was running 7.1.0.205. I think the problem was that the battery got completely drained.....

For the first time, I let my battery drained completely just to see what will happen but nothing happend :| I just noticed one thing that battery don't drain quick if you waiting for it to get drained specially when you are at last minutes coz there was no radio signals it was boring but at least I know now that draining battery don't brick phone always
