Hi,

I downloaded the latest OS for my BlackBerry Bold 9700 from the Blackberry website today - [BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1254 (All Languages) ]


However when I open my Blackberry Software Desktop and click "Update my device " is says no new Software found!!!

My Device software version is 5.0.0.593

Can anyone help? Why isn't this working?

Install the OS on your PC. When in Desktop Manager do not click update.

Click Application Loader and then Add/Remove Programs instead and follow
through the steps.

is the OS you downloaded official from your provider?

Thanks for this. I'm using Blackberry Desktop Software Version 6. Cant see a "add/remove"function in the application section. Furthermore, once installed, what files do I need to install?

yes it is from the provider

Start, search/find
Look up Loader.exe

Run it
make sure you have NO other operating systems on your PC except the one that you are looking to install.

Any other issues use the search feature of the forums, many theads and how to's on this issue

Thanks again. How do I remove other OS already installed? sorry, I'm not all that technical. A little more guidance please?

You can remove the other OS's via the Add/Remove programs control panel, or Add/Change programs (vista/7)
