No, the Bold 9650 is the CDMA Bold. You GSM guys have the Bold 9700

exactly. and in my opinion bold 9700 is a much sexier phone
Yes. I see your point. But I saw the bold 9700 on bell and that"s a cdma company though.

Not really anymore. Bell and Telus now have 3G GSM networks that use the same bands as Rogers. That's why you're seeing the iPhone on those 2 now.

IIRC you can put SIM chips in due to it being a dual band phone.
Bell and Telus have CDMA built prior to adding an additional new network they called HSDPA+ or 3.5G and 3.75G. It is not GSM but it is a technology form by the GSMA moving forward. People get the wrong idea that just because the phone has a SIM card it will work on Bell and Telus. This is not true as iDen, TDMA, GSM and SDCDMA also uses sim cards and aren't compatible with each other.
The 9650 is a CDMA phone with GSM chipset built in. The phone will actually switch to european and asia GSM network when roaming. You can also get it unlocked and use on AT&T.
ok. I see. Thanks a lot. Do companies like bell use sim cards as well now?
