Hi All,

I've just bought a blackberry 9900 bold.

Plugged it in to charge, all I'm getting is a red light & then nothing. Tried booting it without the battery in & putting it in but to no avail.

Is it worth me getting a different battery or is it completely dead?????

I bought a "dead" blackberry bold 9900 at 15 EUR because the seller thought it dead, it had same situation like yours. But I did a hard reset on it and it revived beautifully. Below is what I did:
- Remove the battery
- Wait for 1 min, then put the battery on and plug the charger in. You will see the red LED on.
- Hold Alt + Shift right + delete same time, around 30 seconds. When red light goes off, you can release the hold keys.

After this, my blackberry showed a charging battery sign on the screen and about few mins, it works normally until now. So this helped me, so I hope this helps you
