the 9780 is everything the 9700 was supposed to be.
if you can find one that does not have a stuttering keyboard, go for it.
Nice screen, good size, good battery, good apps, good phone.
Prices will sink as soon as the 9900 comes out (~2 weeks)
Can't go wrong with the 9780 if having a touchscreen isn't a deal breaker for you.
I don't really like touchscreen.
Hey can you tell me when you start your bb 9780 what you have to do?
it seems very complicated for me. Could you tell? Thanks
Can anyone tell me If i have to download anything to my laptop
for my blackberry to work.
Please tell me. I'm getting one quite soon.
:D
Please help it's veeeeeeery urgent!
Ace, welcome to the forum.
Now, bear with me, but think a lil. Do you expect any phone to need a computer to work? No, the phone does not need one to work.
You'll need a PC/Mac for OS updates and backups (if you don't have apps for that) and yes there is desktop software for that. Comes in the box and can be downloaded online.
If you are so serious about buying one, read through these:
BlackBerry 101 How-To Lecture Series
I'm saying this because of the IPhone 4. Where you gotta download Itunes.
No?
And thanks for the welcome
So you see, this is not an iPhone. Get started on the 101s.
You're welcome.
Please relax.
How is this "urgent" when you indicated that you were thinking about getting one on August 31? That's a month away.
If you are just patient, people will respond.
August 31 is the day I'm thinking about getting it.
But I might get it earlier. like tomorrow.
I just need to know. Sorry.
9780 is a great device! i really enjoy it.
I would go for the 9900 or 9790 anyway. Don't need the touchscreen? Don't use it. Ignore that it is there...
