My BB 8900 is broken and I don't have an upgrade for approx 6 mos. Looking at an unlocked BB Tour on Ebay which is cheap. Can I use the SIM card from the 8900 for the BB Tour? I have AT&T as a carrier.

As long as it's a GSM blackberry, you can. If it's CDMA, you are out of luck. before buying a spare/replacement on ebay, make sure you verify the PIN isn't blacklisted/marked as lost or stolen by asking for it prior to buying, so you can verify it with the original carrier. This way, you don't get ripped off.

If the device is unlocked and has a clean ESN you can use it.

However, it will only be capable of EDGE, not 3G, on AT&T's network.

You will also need to manually load the service books, since AT&T does not sell the 9630.

The 9630 does not have Wi-Fi either.

You can unlock your Blackberry 9700 online, it will remove the SIM lock from your Blackberry and then you can use it with any carrier by inserting a GSM sim card to your Blackberry BOLD 9700 after it was unlocked.

you will need to buy the unlock code and then follow the Blackberry 9700 BOLD unlocking instructions

After unlocking your Blackberry 9700 it will stay unlocked forever and you can use it anywhere in the world with any GSM carrier.
