There have been rumors surrounding the BlackBerry 9000 Series Smartphone for months now, and I think they are now at a point where we can safely say there will be a BlackBerry 9000 device and that it likely will be released sometime in the next 6 months (the bet as of now is on May). Well, there should be a NEW device coming - whether it's a 9000 or 8920 or something else has yet to formally be determined.

That said, I figured it was time to open up a new forum to foster discussion around the device! We'll change the name down the road as we need to!

    Enjoy!

Yeah, me too. I love my Curve. No complaints. Though a HotSpot @ Home service on Rogers (like T-Mo has) would be sweet.

UMA can NOT be beat! I will not give up UMA just for a newer device, so I'll be waiting for whatever TMo releases. It's up in the air whether TMo or ATT will release it first but indicators are pointing to ATT.

I did some reseach on it and it appears to be touch screen. I do not like that idea and would prefer to stay with my 8820.

From what I have read first possible carrier will be Vodafone. I do hope however it does come to t-mobile first. I hated when the curve came out and I had to buy an unlocked version.

k this goes out to the admins. You guys finally put a pic on the main forums page for the 9000 section. Now there's that questionable 9000 picture that has been floating around. So is that the design that I should be looking forward to? Something that you guys know that I don't?

    ...curiosity is killing me!

If Rim can't get our 8800's and everything else right with what they already have now, with our volume and ringtones being low, why in the heck would any of us would want to rush out and buy a new one when they can't fix the ones we already have!!!! Just using logic!!!!!

Well at least BB's (and windows mobile) can multitask unlike the iPhone so as a business/consumer user I need a real smartphone, not a phone with a lobotomy.

I like the new theme that the 9000 is using, and here is the biggie for me; there is no application icon!!!!! i always hated that since there is a hard button anyway, to me it kind of takes away the purpose of choosing what icons you do and dont want......
