I've been having issues since trying .600 for my Verizon Bold with the black screen of death (BSOD) and having to pull the battery to get it turned back on. I've tried several hybrids (overtop of .600 and .587) over the last couple of weeks, but all seem to end up back with this same problem. I really want to get away from Verizon's .524 release due to signal strength problems. I need my phone to stay on and I have missed several important calls already. Does this problem exist in the .587 release also?

I have tried 3 different batteries so I think it is an OS issue.

    Thanks for the help.

I had the same issue when I was running .600, I went to .587 and now to the BBOS V6 Hybrid over .587 and have had no more issues.

Thanks. I have that hybrid over .587 right now and it was fine for a week or so and then BSOD twice yesterday and once already today. Thinking of trying straight .587.

I was not having any issues with .587 at all I hated .600 it was horrible for battery life and radio signal (I was always Roaming) after switching to .587 it was like a whole new device.

I went to the "Hybrid" only because I have never tried one before, and did it mostly out of curiosity. so far, no problems but I really cant tell the difference between the hybrid and the .587. I am not sure what to look for.....(other than the "about" screen). also, I did not install the "Patch" for the hybrid, if that makes a difference on how you installed, and I have not reinstalled any of the "Betas" yet.

I also am running 600 and had the BSOD twice. But after that, it hasn't done it in a long time. Maybe it cures itself? I was going to switch but have been waiting. Glad to know 587 is out there if I need it!!

Since I've been on .600 I have had the BSOD a couple of times. Every time it happened was when I had it in the OEM holster. It wouldn't wake up after I pulled it out.

The phone was still on because music was still playing and LED kept flashing but screen was off and keyboard wouldn't respond. (I assume this is BSOD, never had it happen before)

It has never happened while carrying it in my pocket. It must have something to do with the sleeper function of the phone. (at least in my case)

As far as battery and signal, .600 doesn't seem any better or worse than any other build that I've tried.
