Putting all else aside (and I do mean every other feature or option), IF you had to pick which OS had the best RF signal and most reliable call quality only on AT&T's Edge system in VERY poor coverage areas, WHICH OS WOULD IT BE? Make your choice as though in a poor signal area this would be your ONLY way to communicate with anyone… Which one would you pick?

So while at&t hasn't release .282 I have noticed with that release as well as the other one they have us testing .286 that areas where I had problems with drops on EDGE have been much improved.

3G seems to be improved as well where problems existed before...

I would say 282 as you can turn off 3g and force it to edge only to prevent any 3g to 2g dropoffs.

I agree with pbflash. I get poor coverage in some parts of my work building but switching to 2G helps a lot.

Debrand and roll up to .247. Best way to go in my opinion.

To my experience, they're all the same. Just avoid .282 CSL

Did I miss something? Where's .286 available? All I've seen lately is .282

    Thanks

286 has not been leaked or made official by a carrier yet. Sounds like he might work for a carrier and they are testing 286.

So far for me the 282 release has been the best. I've used both the asian and Rogers version without problems but the Rogers version seems to use less app memory.

I tried the Asian .282 twice and the Rogers .282 twice and was displeased with both, especially the Asian version. Some may say the radio software is the same in all versions, but I'd have to disagree STRONGLY.

I haven't had any problems but I'm also in a strong AT&T area with good 3g coverage. Try 266 or 247 and see if they work better for you but I believe only 282 has the option to use 2g only.
