I'm using .266 after upgrading from .167 right after ATT upgraded to it. I loved the better signal I had with .167, and it stayed in 3G longer too, but I've had even better with .266 as well as longer battery life and it being faster. No complaints.

I personally feel that .266 and .247 are almost exactly the same, but they are both great, so you couldn't go wrong with either. I did vote for .266 however because that's what I have on my Bold.

See, I have had a bad experience with .266 cause call quality seemed to not be as good...Also, sometimes when ppl called it would only ring once for them and show as a missed call on my phone...not actually ringing. No, do not disturb was not enabled so it was something wierd. Maybe it was something with the vodafone os...I'm gonna give the east asian one a try and see what happens. So far though I have to say the newer .167 has been pretty solid...so I will vote for that.

Ditto. The Blackberry key app switcher alone is worth the move to .247+ if one hasn't done it already.

I have tried all those and I think .247 runs the smoothest. I would get too much hour glass on .266

I agree with Garz. I've had a few annoyances with .266 that never occurred in .247. I am running .266 mostly without issue now, but had to do some troubleshooting everytime I have put it on the phone. .247 never gave me a single issue. If I ever put another 4.6 OS on this Bold again, it will probably be .247.

random reboots (i had a few at first but not anymore), speaker hissing....etc. little things.

Yeah. Backlight behind the keys sometimes stops working until I reboot (really annoying while at say a dark Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction show and want to brag about it via your facebook status but can't see the keys)... any time I run the app loader to install something new like a language pack I lose the menu hold = app switcher feature and I have to reinstall the OS, sometimes it stops going into bedside mode when I dock it, even when set to do so... the fix for that one's the same: reinstall. It mostly works fine, especially once I get it dialed in, but none of this happens for me with .247. It might be a tad quicker but the bootup takes longer than .247 and the installation is much more error prone. I think .247 is more reliable. I know that not everyone experiences thse issues with .266, but nobody seems to with .247.

228 was solid, too. Best for anti-memory leaks. Long battery life, too. 266 is a very good build, too. No problems, faster than any other OS, but there are still problems with memory leaking (I battery pull once a week) and battery life is good,b ut not as good as 228.

Two things make me prefer .266 over .247 -- an extra 5 MB of memory over the already significant boost I had received moving from .167 and .247, and the disappearance of a bug that, in .247, had caused changing a profile's ring tone and volume settings for one of my secondary email accounts to also change those same settings of my desktop/default email account correspondingly. That was extremely annoying, and I'm glad it's gone with .266.

On a marginally related note, the OP is going to make bt angry because .185 is not included in the poll.

Yea your best bet is .266. Before I was having a few issues that others have noted but it works good now. Try using the East Asian version. Somehow this one works better than the stupid vodafone one I downloaded before. I don't know what could be different...Anyways, battery life is solid, memory is solid and call quality is better than with the vodafone version. With the vodafone version, I would get gargliness (I don't know how to explain it better than that) when someone was talking and couldn't hear them talking that clearly. This East Asian version is better. 3G is held onto way better too...just as good as the new ATT .167. Overall I think this is solid so far. I will try the newer OS's when they come out as I hear the ones they are testing now are better. So far though, .266 is the best out now.

I've had music hiss on both .266 and .247. It seems my battery is better on .247 and my battery doesnt heat up on calls using .247... so .247 all the way

At first I was on .247 decided to try .266 but after a couple of days I would continue to get the hour glass over and over again so I decided to go back to .247...to me its the best so far but that's opition.
