.282 seems pretty solid and is "official" on Rogers

It's been said before, and it will be said many times yet, what is a good OS for one person is a garbage OS for someone else; i.e., there is no one unanimous best OS.

Your best bet is to try one (a majority of people claim that Rogers .282 is excellent) and see for yourself.

OP, This is a great place to start.

But in short, 247, 266, 282 are solid builds.

Running on .266, much better battery life from .247 with same stability. Haven't tried on 282 as there are conflicting reports (good improvement coupled with drawbacks).

I bought a bold about 3 weeks ago and upgraded it immediately to Rogers .282. I have had zero problems with my bold on that software version. A huge plus for me is that I travel every once in a while to an area that does not have 3G and I can change my network setting to 2G only which saves quite a bit on battery life.
