Best battery life to date is on 5.0.0.100 but I don't recommend it unless you are patient with bugs. 4.6.0.282 has been very battery efficient so far

On the stock AT&T OS here, just upgraded to their new stock OS, Sling works awesome, never lags on wifi or 3g

Too scared to update to unapproved versions since this is my favorite app and I want to make sure it is always working 100%

My slingbox works fine with 282 OS. The only time it lags is when I am on EDGE, which is depending on where I am in the city.

I don't use Slingbox but regarding battery life, I had much better battery life several OSs ago. 185 and 237 were both great for battery life. Nowadays battery life isn't great at all but I deal with it because of the the pros of the recent OS releases. I may try an extended battery at some point.
