I just got my Bold 9900 yesterday and I thought it deserved a first post in the forums haha.. so far it is a-maaazing!!! The Combination of the keyboard and the touch screen is brilliant. Absolutely no complains whatsoever.
Had a chance to play with a demo and I have to say, this is the first BlackBerry that really offers a "trouble-free" experience. What I mean by trouble-free is that you don't get the problems you usually get with BlackBerry's (lag, clock, slowdowns). The experience is that much better than what has been released in the past with previous BlackBerry's. Everyone says this but I'm going to say it anyway, RIM should've used the appropriate hardware to offer similar performance with past BlackBerry's - you use the 9900 and you wonder why RIM couldn't do this before when they WERE the leader in the smartphone space.
I can't wait to see future BlackBerry's. Hopefully RIM can build on this.
I seen a 99xx today at Jackson square in New Orleans. There was a guy setting on a bench playing with his bold. I asked him how long he has had it and he said for a while, he works for Blackberry. I didnt ask to play with it though. There were a lot of weird people around and I doubt he would have trusted me with it. I know this isnt exactly news anymore, but it is a bad looking device. It caught my eye from far away. Here's hoping that I have mine from VZW on Tuesday.
So far so good here too. Seems a little worse than the 9700 but it hasn't settled down yet either after a few days. Mind you I've shrunk some junk out of it so perhaps this helps.
