So I'm logged into my beejive but my buddy list is not showing up for aim. Did a quick pull still the same thing. Could it be related to the java exception errors I've been getting earler this week causing me to sign off.

Could be related cause am running beejive and everything is working fine.. Did you uninstall and reinstall beejive to see if that fixes your issue??
