9900 hasnt seen any recent OS updates from .923

And prior to BB10 launch, 9900 was the hottest device ...

Are we 9900 users lukin fwd to see the start of OS 7.2 being 1st with the 9900 ?

come on BBRY - give us something worthwhile to play with ...

    Sorry... What new OS 7.2?

    I know of a new OS7 device (Bold 9720), but I didn't hear anything about OS7.2...

I hear ya on not many new os releases and from what I've been hearing 7.2 should be compatible with the 9900 when it comes out. I'm looking forward to it for sure.

The 9720 is already confirmed to be launching with 7.1, if you want a reference you can find it direct from BlackBerry, there is currently no 7.2 listed for development.

When BB said they are going to release a new bbos 7 phone, I tought it would be a high end boldish like phone with os7.2. But sadly it's a curve like device, so really BB what are you doing over there?

It's to bad that only stupid people are running the bb company.
    I dont really need 7.2, I need:
-full navigation (were the fck is navigator beta gone?)
    - mutiple alarms
    - better browser
    - proper youtube app
    - UI change, in bbworld
    - a ton of stuff more, but I don't want to spam you guys any more with my anger.

At this point, other than maintenance updates I doubt there will be too many resource put on updating the overall BBOS beyond 7.1. App developers with any interest at all in BlackBerry would be much more likely to build for BlackBerry 10 than the legacy OS.

haha yes. But BB thinks that os 7 is allright, because they are still spending more money in a new curve. Bit strange because you can also lower the price of a bold9900 (or make more).

Nearly everything what bb does, doesn't make sense to me. But hey I'm just a consumer, who cares

I try not to judge. If they are doing it, I'm sure there is a reason.

Nobody seems to get that it is. Buy I'm sure it exists...

The difference, in my opinion, is that OS7 is pretty solid and 7.2 would just be adding some goodies. I wouldn't mind ActiveSync (I know, I know OS10).

10.2 will be adding a lot of those things that make you say BBOS was pretty solid to BB10 (I hope auto on/off is in there, btw).

I know, I've been following the Q10 forum closely. 10.2 is supposed to borderline second-coming-of-Jesus-Christ. I would love to hear that from BlackBerry personally or some form of a "We hear you" instead of quarterly results that are in the tank and shareholder meetings about name changes.

you may be correct... it could be old bug fix/ merge change/ carrier request (command).. but not main line OS enhancement... no negetive feelings...

Just look in the right places. Michael Clewleys BBM channel has a lot of info about the updates. Twitter has info. It's pretty much how most of us predicted... Thor made the executive decision to release bb10 with the basics, and they will just continue to build upon it

Wow - as a Playbook early adopter this is total deja vu. It's always the next update that's going to fix all the problems. Unfortunately it didn't work out too well for the tablet owners; we ran out of updates and ended up with a half finished product.

I doubt we'll see any further significant updates to OS7. I'm satisfied with the feature set of my 9900 for now and will be moving platforms next year.
