As shown in the attached photo ( although not very clear) , the BB9900 will have a virtual KB , but I do not know in which mode , the LS which is the default and has its physical KB or the portrait mode or both !!!

Can't imagine why you would even want to type on the virtual keyboard. Been using a Droid Pro for 10 months and haven't used it once, and it has a much wider screen in landscape.

More than likely an error on their site.

Because I use 2 languages on the mobile, and I do not want to have both engraved on the physical KB as then some keys will have 3 letters on them ( all the mobiles sold in the east has 2 languages engraved) .
If I have a virtual KB , I can then use it for the 2nd language and have English only on the physical KB. That is the way I have my Torch now.

I can't see it happening, there would be only about 10mm of space above it for visible screen space

It's one manual for both the 9900 and the 9930. Not all features are available in both devices. The VK being obviously unnecessary on the 9900.

I just realized I was thinking about the Torch. Yes, it's gotta be a typo. The option is not there on my 9900.

Ah, didn't think of that, but in any case, I can't imagine typing on the virtual kb would be easy by any stretch of the imagination. And the torch has a much bigger screen, don't think virtual keyboard is an option on the 9900/9930.

Its gotta be a typo. I've done testing in the 9900 simulator, and the "Does this phone support a virtual keyboard?" method definitely returns false.

Maybe a virtual dial pad would be nice, but definitely not a kb.

Yeah,I would have to say, that would be like buying a Rolls Royce and having a VW simulator driving game while in the car. Liking the virtual keypad idea though...lol

i dont know. Sometimes i think RIM in such a bubble that they would've included a virtual keyboard with the 9900.
