I'd like to change the start up screen from the 'ORANGE' logo. The tech support tell me that it can't be done, I don't believe them, can anybody help?

    Welcome to the forums.

The splashscreen can't be changed. Next time, if you can, get an unbranded phone from carphone warehouse.

Thanks for taking the time. I won't bother with RIM, there's no point wasting my time. I suppose if I got the phone unlocked I could change it

no, even if you get the phone unlocked, that splash screen is somehow dug deep into the guts of the BB. You will need professional tools to remove it, not worth the hassle. It only appears once after a reboot anyway

I see nothing in that thread that indicates a splash-screen removal method.

The fact pictures and video have been pulled out is also a bad hint. Nothing against rroyy thou, he's very good with leaked news and OTA links.
