    I'm going out of my mind... I can't seem to find the setting to enable shortcuts e.g. n for blackberry messenger etc.

    Has it been removed in OS7?!

    on the homescreen, hit the BB key and go to Options. For the first item, "Launch by Typing", select "Application Shortcuts".
