I have a blackberry bold... second one. Worked fine for two months - but now it has deleted calendar dates ... from the past. it only has two week old ones and those into the future. I'm an attorney and i need my calendar.

Nope. It's already set to keep appointments forever... i even got a new one today and the darn thing won't sync all of the dates over... I use a bes... help or i have to give this up
The memory ran too low and it purged old calendar events to free up space.
Have you upgraded your OS to the new one? That should free up more space.
What do you mean by won't sync over? Do you sync with Outlook? Are your events still there? Do you have the sync set to prompt you prior to deletion (saves you from these embarrassing deletions)
Mel1963, have you figured how to keep the old appointments. I too am an attorney and need to keep ALL my appointments, not just a week or two. Please let me know if you have figured out how to do this. Thanks.
