I bought a bb bold of a friend, i plan on taking out my sim from my curve and using it in the bold.

1)When I put my new sim, it doesn't register at all and no internet services work. Do I need to contact my carrier (T-Mobile) and tell them i am changing Blackberry?

2)Also, I cant set up my email on the blackberry, the only option i have is "I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server"

I tried to download the new OS 6 upgrade, maybe it would make all these problems go away? But when I did that.. it said This BlackBerry® Device Software upgrade includes new features and significant enhancements to the BlackBerry® solution and, as such, is only available to users with an active BlackBerry subscription. To learn more about BlackBerry® service, please visit BlackBerry - Data Plan - Upgrade Your BlackBerry Data Plan.

Please Help this is driving me crazy

Sounds like the BB you got from your friend may still be linked to his account that doesn't have a BB data plan anymore. I take it you have the BB data plan on your current working BB?

Is the Curve a personal phone or work issued phone? If it's personal, you need to call your service provider and switch from BES to BIS.

Call your provider and make sure the PIN can be activated on your service.

Ok so I need to call the provider (T-Mobile) and activate it on the bold?

And what about emails? I guess if I do that, it might work as well

If T-mobile activates the Bold, then you will have the email options so you can set them up as well.
