FYI, just checked the Att wireless website and the bold is listed for $199.99 for new customers. I guess boy genius was right, they lowered the price the first week of June.
I just upgraded two weeks ago..I paid 399 minus the mail in rebate of 100.. You think I can go back and get price diffrence back ???

I would take it back and ask for the price adjustment and if they won't give it to you return the phone and re-purchase it, either way you'll get it for the 199 price
I don't get American pricing, lets take this for example, you pay $199 and that covers you for 2 years? No monthly bill?
In the UK most of our phones come for free unless they are expensive phones, where they still come for a damn good price. Then after that depending what you have signed up for on the contract you pay a monthly bill.
Or you can buy a handset on PAYG which means you pay a lot of the handset and have to 'top up' with credit.
Not just for new customers, upgrades for existing customers have also dropped to $199. I don't see $149 on the site today, except for the 8900, the price of which AT&T dropped as well.
You know when my contract was up I told them I was leaving for Sprint unless they could offer me such and such and they worked so well with me to keep me that they gave me the Bold for $180 and then the $50 mail in rebated and $130 credit on my phone bill for the next month. So if you work with them and call to order the phone instead of going online you can often get better deals. The gal on the phone told me they have more options available to them if you call in. Not sure if it's true but thought it might help!
Haha and I thought $400 phone with a $100 mail in rebate was good...I paid 300, well what's 100 dollars right? Sike haha that's plenty of stuff for my blackberry.
