Or do a battery pull before you go to bed.
I'm currently using the auto on/off feature to turn my phone off at 10 PM and back on at 6AM. I also have it scheduled to re-boot (right now I'm using QuickPull) every morning at 6:15. I'm thinking that should be enough to turn on and grab any pending messages before reboot. As a general rule, I don't touch the BB till 6:50 when I'm walking out the door, and then it's just to unlock it and make sure the reboot went fine.
The time it takes really isn't a big deal since I give it a solid 35 minutes to do it, I was just curious.
I reboot because of (apparent) memory leaks, not because it takes forever.
