Hi,

In general very happy with my blackberry but recently noticed very very poor battery life, so I decided to install a battery tracker programme to see if this would shine any light on the situation.

What it's show me across two months is extremely consistent, everyday the battery hits 40% after around 10 hours moderate use of 12 hours sparing use and immediately does down to 8% (the gradient is infinite and goes straight down)

I am charging from mains not usb

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you're running an old OS version.

The rapid battery drop was a common bug in early OS builds, and was fixed in OS .480 I believe.

I suggest you update to that or something newer. I can highly recommend OS .600 which you can find in the sticky at the top of the page.
