okay so i just got my blackberry bold 2 days ago. it was recently messing up yesterday, the charging symbol wasn't on when i had it plugged in. but when i turned off the phone it was blinking the charging LED light. eventually it went back into shape later on, i talked on the phone from the full charge and it went from 100 percent to 30 percent in 2 hours of talking. i had 3g off and gps off. all apps that werent native were off. im in school, its 1 hour till school is out, i sent around 15 texts nothing big, its down to 5 percent battery. why is my battery dying so fast? i have the default 4.6.0.297 software... please help me? i just switched from a 16g 3gs and i dont want my money wasted.
Battery life on the Bold sort of sucks but texting just 15 text and u went down 95% battery life is unusual. Might need a replacement or maybe try a different firmware version.
Always whenever you get a new battery, its strength really never kicks in till after a week. This is charging it all the way the first time, running it near the ground twice and doing a full blown charge each time will help build its strength.
That typically helps it. I know a friend of mine who bought a Omnia and battery life sucked so bad it was worst than my Bold, but after a week of his phones batt life was on par or better than my phone.
alright thanks guys, i just wanted to know cuz i was a bit sad such an expensive phone would be bad in battery. lol thats high school for you, i was thinking about buying an extended bat but not sure if its worth it
