Just wondering if I already have the phone and working and then I disconnect the service from the phone company.
Will I still be able to access the emails and messenger via wifi?

No... Messenger does require a Data Plan... there are some 3rd party apps that might work with your email via wifi, but not through Blackberry's email system.. in other words, you'll need this 3rd party app to go get your emails and post new ones... but I don't know of any myself since I have a data plan and don't care to stop using one.
