I am still weighing the next 3 months without a new device or getting a Rogers.
I'm in the same boat. Trying to decide if I should get rid of my iPhone and pick up one from Rogers. I may be making a business trip to Canada in the next couple of weeks though so may just wait til then.
I want to tell everyone here that waiting three months is nothing. Some of us have iPhones and some of us have BB9000s, 9700s, or 9800s, but these are phones. You don't HAVE to use your eligibility upgrade immediately. It's best to get it ASAP, but in this case, we can all wait a month to get a confirmation date on the 9900 with AT&T/T-Mobile.
Save yourself the $400 extra you'll have to pay for being impatient.
On the other hand, if you have $400 to spend and it makes you feel better, then do it.
We've gone thousands of years without knowing what's in store for us. We can do it for three months more.
I am eager to get hands on and see if it is as good as everyone says. I know i will get a few dollars back out of my current device. With the business trip you can write it off! That is great!

Rogers was the cheapest of the 3 Canadian ATT compatible carriers.
As for the cost, I figured I could always get the ATT one under contract for less$$ and sell the Rogers one on Ebay... The point is I'm done waiting and most of all rebooting!

well, t-mobiles 2 YR price is gonna be $300 on the 31st when it releases w/ 2YR so though you actually save $249 is that worth locking yourself for another 2 years to tmobile? if you grab the rogers you can use it unlocked on ATT sans contract
I did something similar after getting quoted prices in the $1000.00 range in NYC. One of the bands I manage was in Calgary on Saturday for a show, I had the road manager go to Rogers pick the phone up for me and by Monday at 5pm i was picking him up and the phone at JFK airport. Unlocked the phone that night and I've been enjoying it since. As an afterthought maybe I should had him pick up 4 like kevin did and sell 3 of them for $1000 in NY. Ridiculous.
I got one, a great forum member on here offered, palpal transaction and my phone was here 6 days later and loving it. Unlocked it real easy using blackberrycodesource.com. Was unlocked in under a minute
I dont have anyone who lives in canada that can help me out so i broke down and blew 785.00 on ebay for a rogers unlocked. Was shipped yesterday afternoon and its on the truck as i type!!! Couldnt sleep at all last night because of the excitement. Hello everyone, my name is Christian( Anyone who reads this:Hello Christian) and i have a berry problem....
Update- Its pretty ******* amazing to say the least. Alrdy typing without looking, easy transaction from my 9780, pretty much what the reviews say, its the best berry yet. CHEERS!!
Did anyone actually get Bold at 549 from Rogers? Because they tend to have device only price which usually ends up being even higher than no-term price. To get no-term they force me to go to month to month.
I will have some 9900 for sale in FS section by Tuesday night.
