    I was thinking about making a push for a used 9930 since the new Blackberries are out. Are there still useful apps available?

    All apps remain available today. The 9900 is still a fine device.

    Although the Z10 is a fantastic device, it still lacks the functionallity of the 9900/9930. Bridge, Bedside Mode, Charging Contacts etc. Go for it.

    Have the bold 9900 for a couple months now. "Seven Points" is a great BB10 style / various icon app. Curious what "charging contacts" is plz?

    If you look at the very bottom of the phone, you will see two chrome contacts inset in the bezel. To charge the phone all you need to do is drop it into a charging cradle. No need to use the USB port. Keep a cradle on your bedside table and you have the perfect alarm set up with no wear and tear on the USB.

    Check out on Amazon. There is an aftermarket unit with higher sides than the BB version which secures the phone much better. I have three of them and they hold the device very positively.
