Ok here's my next question: Does it have a death grip issue? When I hold my Torch 9800 with my right hand it gets 5 bars, when I use my left it gets 1.
death grip on a BB is odd... never had an issue when i had my torch like that... and i tested that to the end of the world when that whole debate was going on with the iphone 4 etc... maybe try doing a warranty exchange on the unit, you may have a defective device...
and about your original question, no one knows yet the device isnt out yet to know about reception and stuff...time will tell
Is the antenna on the Bold 9900 better than the Torch 9800? I currently have a Torch and the antenna is poor. Always losing signal.
Thanks
One of the video reviews I saw showed contacts on the antenna cover that connected the the antenna that was built into the cover, to the phone. Not sure if that will improve reception but seems like its heading in the right direction

I've seen something similar but thought it was the NFC antenna that's built into the battery cover. Unless you are talking about something completely different.

With the 9900 in-hand I can say that it's much better than the Torch (at least based on the 2 units I have). I work on the 24th floor downtown Toronto and could bearly get a signal on my Torch. When I did it would drop every call. My 9900 have full bars! It really is night and day
