    I know that when I clear this out, it frees up some of my memory. What is the purpose of this log, and is there any way to disable it so I don't have to clear it? (It is set to "warning") Thanks

    The log is for technical support and diagnostic purposes. There is
    no way to completely disable it.

    As to it's size it holds a maximum of 200kb of data. Not enough
    to trouble yourself over.

    Download logmaid. Every hour on the hour it clears the log.
