I have a new Bold handset through an ATT warranty exchange. On my old handset I could press and hold the ALT button and press a number key at the same time. On this handset if I want to type 22, I hold the ALT button and press 2 ,nothing happens. I have to press ALT, let go, type number, press ALT, let go, type number.

So, does this handset have the right functionality or did my old one? My sons BOLD works the way my old one did and we bought the originals at the same time.

Also, when I press the SYM key you get only two pages of symbols. The third page with the emoticons is non existant.

Running .266 and I can do either,press and release the alt key and press and hold it.As for the sym,I only have 2 pages
